East Atlanta

Gay establishments are an even greater part of the scene in the revitalized East Atlanta Village, with LGBT-owned bars, home décor stores and hair salons. My Sister's Room, one of the most popular lesbian bars in the city, moved to the East Atlanta Village a few years ago and continues to draw big weekend crowds.

A few doors down from My Sister's Room is Mary's, an offbeat gay bar that features legendary karaoke and themed-parties, and which was selected as the best gay bar in America a few years ago. The unpretentious attitude among the crowd and friendly staff makes Mary's one of the coziest places to enjoy a night out on the town.
