Old Fourth Ward

Neighboring downtown, the Old Fourth Ward has experienced a great turnaround in recent years and attracted an influx of LGBT residents and visitors. New shopping centers are bringing energy and street life to the historic neighborhood, including the trendy bars, restaurants and boutiques located on Edgewood Avenue.

Food aficionado Matt Ruppert, one of the original founders of the Big Gay Supper Club, turned his love of grub into one of the best Italian restaurants in Atlanta. The delicious food and ambiance of Noni's has quickly turned it into an Old Fourth Ward neighborhood gem and on weekends the spot transitions into a late-night party with a widely diverse crowd.

Also along Edgewood Avenue in Old Fourth Ward are The Sound Table, a mixed club that hosts lesbian parties and regularly attracts lots of ladies, and Sister Louisa's Church of the Living Room and Ping Pong Emporium, a delightful spirtually-themed bar more commonly known as The Church.
