Atlanta Couples Together
Atlanta
Couples Together is an Atlanta social group for
couples in committed same-gender couples. In operation
for 20 years, they provide social and networking opportunities
where monogamous couples can meet. Typical events include
theme parties, dine-outs at area restaurants, hiking
trips, culture outings and weekends away.
Atlanta Pride Committee
Atlanta Pride Committee produces the annual Pride Festival & Parade.
The Festival is held each year on the last weekend in
June to commemorate the Stonewall Riots, which launched
the modern LGBT rights movement. The festival typically
attracts more than 300,000 people. It hosts performers,
crafts, community and food booths, and guest speakers.
There is also a Pride Parade through Midtown on the last
day of the festival.
Alpha Lambda Zeta Fraternity, Inc.
Alpha
Lambda Zeta Fraternity, Inc. is a greek organization
that positively impacts the community while maintaining
a fraternal bond that is fostered by understanding,
acceptance and support. The organization encourages
any aggressive lesbian womyn seeking membership into
a fraternity with standards, goals, professionalism,
and activism to explore further into the Regal World
of Alpha Life.
Atlanta Prime Timers
Atlanta Prime Timers is an Atlanta social and support group for older gay or
bisexual men and younger men who enjoy the company of mature men. They have outings,
discussions involving aging issues, and educational events.
Black and White Men Together
Black
and White Men Together is a multi-cultural and
multi-racial Atlanta social and support group for men
who want to help break down racial and cultural barriers.
They sponsor potlucks, movie and bowling nights, dine
outs and other events.
Fourth Tuesday
Fourth Tuesday bills itself as 'the premier networking
and social organization for lesbians in the Atlanta area.'
Founded in 1982, the group gets together every fourth
Tuesday for a different themed event, they also hold
progressive dinners, dances, and other social outings.
In the Life Atlanta
In the Life Atlanta hosts the black lesbian/bisexual/gay/transgendered
community pride event. For the past five years, the festival
is held over Labor Day weekend. It includes performances,
craft and merchandise booths, community center group
outreach and a parade.
Southern Bears
Southern Bears is an Atlanta social organization of hirsute
individuals and their admirers who meet monthly at different
area restaurants. They also hold potlucks, social outings,
dine-outs, and other events.
Wilderness Network of Georgia
Wilderness Network of
Georgia is an Atlanta social club
for gay men that hosts activities for men who enjoy and
want to meet other men interested in hiking, biking, camping,
